Larry “Tripp” Harrington joins the Tucson Sugar Skulls for the 2025 IFL season.
Harrington began his first season in the Indoor Football League (IFL) in 2024 with the Frisco Fighters. He had an impressive debut, finishing with 13 rushing touchdowns and 4 touchdown passes. Over the season, he accumulated 280 rushing yards and 395 passing yards, averaging 67.5 yards per game.
Before joining the IFL, Harrington attended Langston University for two seasons, where he recorded 5 rushing touchdowns, 26 touchdown passes, and over 2,000 passing yards. As a freshman at Norfolk State University (NSU), he played in 6 games in one season, averaging 6.8 rushing yards and 21.2 passing yards per game.
A native of Raleigh, North Carolina, Harrington was a four-year letterwinner in football at East Wake High School. As a senior, he led all quarterbacks in the Triangle area of North Carolina with 1,187 rushing yards and 16 rushing touchdowns while passing for 2,507 yards and 24 touchdown passes. He was named the Greater Neuse River Conference 4A Player of the Year and received All-Metro honors from the Raleigh News & Observer. As a junior, he threw for 2,639 yards and 30 touchdowns while also adding 800 rushing yards.
