Biography

Brian Smith returns for his second season with the Sugar Skulls in 2025. 

He finished the 2024 season with 18 receptions for 337 yards, 9 touchdowns, and 1 solo tackle. 

Smith appeared in seven games during the 2017 season, including one start. He wrapped up his debut season at Louisiana with seven receptions, totaling 74 yards. Before Louisiana, Smith attended Glendale C.C. Ranked as a three-star JUCO recruit by 247 Sports and the No. 20 wide receiver in Louisiana. Earned First Team All-Conference honors twice. As a sophomore, he recorded 33 receptions for 485 yards and five touchdowns. During his freshman year at Glendale, he hauled in 21 passes for 343 yards and two touchdowns.

Smith played at Barbe High School in Lake Charles, LA.
