Biography

Benjamin Jones (5’8, 195, McNeese State University) joins the Sug ar Skulls for his rookie season in the IFL. Jones played for McNeese State in college, where his explosiveness was on full display his senior season, as he averaged 35 yards on kick returns, registering a 99-yard touchdown. For his career with McNeese, Jones racked up 920  all-purpose yards, and averaged 7.1 yards a carry.  

A native of Kentwood, Louisiana, Jones attended Jewel Sumner High  School, where he was a standout track athlete as a state champion in  the 100-meters and also was a member of the state champion 400  and 800-meter relay teams for the Cowboys as well.
