Biography

Ahmad Lyons joins the Sugar Skulls for his second season in the IFL in 2025.

Lyons finished 2024 with 28 solo tackles and 18 assists. He also had 2 interceptions and 10 pass breakups and saw action in 10 games. 

During his time at Wagner, Lyons had five interceptions, ten pass breakups, 83 tackles, and 315 all-purpose yards. He was the 2021 Spring 2nd Team All-NEC, 2021 Fall Honorable Mentions, a two-time team captain, and a 2021 FCS Bowl All-American.

Hailing from Tarboro, North Carolina, Lyons attended North Edgecombe HS before making his way to ASA Miami. Throughout his senior year, he showcased his skills by accumulating 60 tackles and recovering two fumbles. Additionally, he excelled as a tailback, rushing for an impressive 1,305 yards and scoring 11 touchdowns.
