Tucson Sugar Skulls

Roosevelt Lawrence enters his first year with the Tucson Sugar Skulls and his second in the IFL in 2022.

Lawrence most recently played for the Sioux Falls Storm, where he played in one game in 2021 and recorded five tackles.

Lawrence played college football at the University of Northern Iowa and at Iowa Central Community College. During his two years with Northern Iowa in 2018 and 2019, Lawrence recorded 94 tackles – 49 of them solo – three interceptions, one forced fumble and four pass breakups.

In his second year at ICCC in 2017, Lawrence had 47 tackles, two interceptions and one forced fumble, which was returned for a touchdown.

A native of Tampa, Florida, Lawrence attended Alonso High School, where his three straight all-conference and all-district seasons from 2011-2014 had him rated as a three-star recruit. Lawrence also lettered in basketball and track at Alonso.
