Tucson Sugar Skulls

QB Cory Murphy joins the Tucson Sugar Skulls for his first season with the team. Murphy is no stranger to the IFL, having played with the Billings Wolves for their lone 2016 season. He then joined the Cedar Rapids River Kings in 2017 (then known as the Titans). 

The next year, Murphy switched to the CIF, playing one season with the Sioux City Bandits, before staying with the Wichita Force until his 2021 arrival in Tucson.

As a Bandits quarterback, Murphy played twice, passing for 211 yards and four touchdowns. Murphy then found better success with the Force, amassing 792 passing yards and 19 touchdowns in six career games.

Murphy is a graduate of Delaware State, having spent two collegiate seasons with the Hornets from 2012 to 2014.
