Biography

Kevin Macias joins the Sugar Skulls in 2025 for his first season with the team and his second season in the Indoor Football League (IFL).

Macias signed with the Vegas Knighthawks for his rookie season last year, in 17 games played accumulated 95 points after touchdowns. 

Macias had a standout college football career, highlighted by his exceptional performance at the University of Montana in 2021, where he was named a third-team All-American by HERO Sports and second-team All-Big Sky by Phil Steele Magazine. That year, he set a program record with an 85.2% field goal percentage, making 23 of 27 attempts and successfully converting all 42 PAT attempts to tally 111 points. He also led the Big Sky in field goals and scoring while ranking second nationally in field goals per game. 

Prior to Montana, Macias played at Arizona State, where he primarily handled kickoff duties in 2019, recording 33 kickoffs with 14 touchbacks. Before joining ASU, he made his mark as a punter at Scottsdale Community College, where he averaged over 42 yards per punt across two seasons, including a 72-yard punt as a sophomore. 

Macias, a native of Mesa, Arizona began his football journey at Dobson High School, finishing his varsity career with 59 punts totaling 2,250 yards.
