Rob Gallo - Director of Sales
Rob Gallo has worked in radio in Tucson since 2000 both on the air and in sales. He moved to Tucson in 1983 and attended the University of Arizona. He was on the air at KLPX from 2000 to 2006, and at KFMA from 2006 to 2010. Prior to joining the Sugar Skulls, Gallo worked in sales for Scripps Media, the parent of MIXFM and ESPN radio.
Jay Gonzales - Director of Media Relations
Jay Gonzales has been involved with media in Tucson since 1979 as a reporter at the Arizona Daily Star, public affairs manager at Tucson Electric Power Company and communication director at the City of Tucson. He has operated his own public relations firm since 2009. He is a native of Tucson, graduated from Sahuaro High School, and holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Arizona.
Gonzales also has been active in the community as a member of numerous boards and organizations, including the Copper Bowl/Insight Bowl and the Tucson Fiesta Bowl Committee. He is a statistician for University of Arizona men’s and women’s basketball and has been active as a baseball and softball coach and public address announcer for The Gregory School since 2009. In 1998 he was named the Tucson Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year for his community involvement.
Anton Zimanek - Executive Assistant
Anton Zimanek brings a background in indoor football having served in a similar position at the Arizona Rattlers for the last 2½ years where he was involved in scouting, video and football operations. He also worked in ticket operations with the Phoenix Suns and Arizona Cardinals.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Sport & Tourism Management from Troy University, and was honored with Most Outstanding Student Award in his department. Zimanek worked in the sports information office during his time at Troy.
Geff Trescott - Director of Team Security
Geff has been employed in law enforcement and law enforcement related capacities for over 20 years with the last 15 years in a sworn law enforcement capacity.
He previously volunteered with the Special Olympics state office in Phoenix, Arizona. While volunteering, his duties involved helping to organize the annual state competitions, coordination between numerous chapters statewide, coordinating volunteer groups, and ensuring awards ceremonies were completed properly.
Since 2012 he has been involved with the Arizona Rattlers. Throughout that time he was a member of the organization's security team and has assisted with game day operations in a multitude of areas. Over the course of his tenure with the Arizona Rattlers, he was part of four championship seasons.
